Technical student gained valuable experience
in automation
In the summer of 2025, SAVYA Automation was delighted to receive motivated support from summer intern Dominik Bayer from Vitis. The student at HTL Karlstein, who will be starting his fifth year of mechanical engineering studies in the fall, used his time off from school to get a taste of the company's varied day-to-day work.
Dominik mainly supported the team in the assembly of automation systems. He found the entire process of creating a system particularly exciting – from the delivery of the painted welding frame to the fully operational automation solution. “I was able to observe how individual components are turned into a functioning system – it was very educational and impressive,” reports Dominik.
The prospective high school graduate had deliberately chosen an internship at SAVYA Automation: “I wanted to get to know everyday working life in a smaller, specialized company. Until now, I had only worked in large industrial companies during my summer jobs.” The name SAVYA was not unfamiliar to him – his brother is currently completing his apprenticeship at VTW.
What did he particularly like? “The varied tasks, the independent work, and the good preparation by my colleagues – everything was explained to me in detail before I could get started.” The SAVYA team is equally satisfied: “Dominik was very committed, reliable, and completed his tasks with great enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility. We wish him all the best for his final year at HTL Karlstein and look forward to crossing paths again in the future.”
As far as his career plans are concerned, Dominik remains open for the time being: after graduating from high school and completing his military service, he would like to start his professional career – exactly which industry remains to be seen.
With this successful internship, SAVYA Automation is once again setting an example for the promotion of young talent and close cooperation with regional educational institutions.
